“And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved…” (Acts 16:30-31)
Friend, baptism cannot wash away sin, being good will not cover
your sin, religious chants or liturgy will do you no good on judgment day. Only the blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God
can make you clean. “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the
forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his
grace;” (Ephesians 1:7)
Going to Heaven
is a free
gift only given to those who receive it by faith.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it
is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians
2:8,9 "But as many
as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even
to them that believe on his name:" John 1:12
You cannot buy it, work for it, get baptized or go to church for
it,be good
enough or sorry enough, nor give up sin
for it.
Eternal
life is a completely free gift through Jesus Christ our Lord!
1st You need to know that you are a sinner.
The Bible states in Romans 3:10, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:” Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Sin separates us from God and His Glory (heaven). We come short, we can’t reach His Glory.
2nd You need to realize that there is a penalty for sin. That penalty is death.
The Bible states in Romans 6:23a, “For the wages of sin is death;…” A wage is something earned, and deserved. When you sin, you earn and deserve death. This word “death” doesn’t mean just dying and going to the grave. It means separation from God. Adam sinned, and God expelled him from the Garden of Eden, and from His fellowship in Genesis 3:23, making good on His promise from Genesis 2:17, that Adam would surely die if he ate of the fruit (die spiritually). The Bible states in Revelation 20:14;
“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” This verse tells us that the end result of deathis the lake of fire.We all have sinned and have done something which displeases God. Thus, we all have earned and deserve this punishment from a Holy God. “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God…” Isaiah 59:2 “Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” Romans 5:12. Thus the penalty for sin is death.
3rdBelieve that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again for you.
In Romans 5:8,“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.” It had to be Jesus, and no one else to die and pay for sin, as the scripture says in I Timothy 3:16 that Jesus was “…God was manifest in the flesh…” Hebrews 4:15 tells us that He, “was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” In Matthew 5:17, Jesus said, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.” He never did anything wrong, ever. He was a perfect sacrifice (I Peter 1:19).
4thTrust Christ alone as your Saviour.
The Bible states in Romans 6:23b,”but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Titus 3:5, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us…” Romans 4:5, “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” Going to Heaven is a gift. It’s absolutely free! You can’t buy it, work for it, go to church for it, be good for it, be sorry for it, or give up sin for it. Eternal life is absolutely free!
"Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent." John 6:29
In Review:
▪You know you are a sinner. ▪You realize there is a penalty for that sin, and you can’t pay for it yourself. ▪You believe Jesus died on the cross, shed His blood, was buried, and rose again to pay for your sins. ▪You know that going to Heaven is absolutely free!
**Then this is what you need to do:**
The Bible states in Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
“Whosoever” means you. We could put your name there:
“For (your name) shall call upon the name of the Lord and (your name) shall be saved.”
Now, if you would like to place your 100% of your faith in Jesus for salvation from hell and go to heaven when you die, ask Jesus to save you, believing in your heart, that He is your only hope. (You must retract your faith from anything that you were depending on that wasn't Jesus Christ alone. For example: religion, baptisim, church membership, being good, etc.)
Realize it’s not mere words that save, but your faith in Jesus Christ, if you don't know how to pray, this is a good sample prayer:
DEAR JESUS, FORGIVE ME OF MY SINS. I NOW PLACE MY TRUST ONLY IN THE FACT THAT YOU DIED ON THE CROSS FOR ME, AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD. THE BEST WAY I KNOW HOW I ASK YOU TO SAVE ME AND TAKE ME TO HEAVEN WHEN I DIE. THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME. IN JESUS' NAME I PRAY. AMEN.
If you just called on Jesus to save you from hell, trusting He's your only hope, you can know for sure you are going to heaven!
“He that believeth on the Son (Jesus) hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." John 3:36 "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” I John 5:13
Believe: To entrust; to put in trust with(to fully depend on,100%)
Call: To invoke (to plead with); ask
Pray: Ask
Repent: To think differently or afterward; Change of Mind (with regards to salvation if you’re trusting in the wrong thing, like religion, being good, being sorry, or nothing at all, etc., then you need to change your mind, and put all of your trust/faith only in Jesus as your way to heaven by trusting 100% in His finished work. Not 50% Jesus & 50% Baptism or 90%Jesus&10% Religion, only 100% Jesus)
Baptism: to fully immerse; to bury; to be done after you receive Jesus as your Saviour (Acts 2:41, 8:36-38) there is not a single account of a baby ever being baptized in the Bible.
Church: Local called out assembly of scripturally Baptized Believers (Hebrews 10:25 & Acts 2:41)
